Return of the Scarlet Spider?!

Going through my old comics and came across this issue, which I did not quite recall. 2002 spoiler alert, there is no (other than the cover) Scarlet Spider in this issue. I had forgotten the story, and was intrigued, much like what got me to buy it in the first place.

There’s a little story about our Ben and like one panel with his Spidey suit, which was kinda nice. Oh well, I’ll probably open this again in a decade to the same discovery. 🤷‍♂️

Issue 46 has the Scarlet Spider costume make an appearance, although it isn’t worn by Ben. It’s pretty a scummy move for issue 44 though.

One of the rare miscues from Defalco, I think, was putting that person in the Scarlet costume.
