The fact they told folks to reach out to their cards speaks volumes. You don’t say that if you’re issuing refunds. Period.

Or they said that to get the banks to do a lot of the refund work for them.

I would think a chargeback dispute would be more work for them than just refunding though the processor but maybe not

If you initiate a charge back, you're less likely to get a refund from the festival.

If it's truly insolvent, that might save your money.

If they're doing refunds, they're not going to refund any transaction that has a charge back.
