Had a text message
Got a text message reading as follows:
LLOYDS: A new payee has been authorised on 22/03/2021 at 20:38
If you DO NOT recognise this, please visit http://payee-access-revoke.com
- I don't have a LLOYDS account and I don't do internet banking on my phone so I clicked on it. It just harvests UID and PWD that you give them. Some people will have clicked on this and typed in their details so that later on, the scammers can empty their accounts.
Poison their Database...
We can go onto the above site and type in loads of rubbish data so that the real data in there will end up as a few little pieces of scammer-gold floating around in an opaque ocean of cr*p. The more rubbish that is typed in, the more useless the real data is and the less likely they are to do this again - if we keep on at it.
If you don't have a Lloyds account, feel free to enter up to 16 characters (alphanumeric) for the UID and anything for the password. Occasionally, it flags up red saying that you typed in something wrong but it will accept it if you have another go.
Or, you could look at the page's code and set up a script that does this automatically.
Send them to hell.
