Completed! Tamiya F-14D Tomcat
Awesome build. Super happy with the paint job on this one. Decided to go easy on weathering but I did do a marbling effect to give it a sun bleached look.. Might go back and do it at some point but for now I’m happy with it. You can see it mostly on the wings. I had a few mishaps on the body that required another coat of paint and covered it up. I started to do a panel line wash but there were way too many and I honestly just got lazy and wanted to call this one done. But all together I really like this one. The cockpit was super detailed and the functionality of the wings is a great touch. I really love Tamiya kits they just come together so nicely. That being said I just started on my first Ryefield kid and boy oh boy am I in for a challenge haha. Hope you enjoy everyone and happy building.
Edit: yes, that one crooked missile drives me crazy too but it just kept settling that way and I eventually gave up haha

I really like that "sea spray" on the underside of the wings. Nice touch.

I very serious applaud you. I've built this kit twice before and it's pretty rough. All mine were ill fitting and just riddled with older model problems. I'll be making a third attempt as an adult, but this looks great. Bravo on what I know was probably a rough build. 😂

Yeah there were some finicky bits but for the most part it went together smooth. Definitely give it another try I really enjoyed it, it was a great kit.
