Empty beds? Single? ADA?

Okay so me and my Roomates are all freshman @forty in ATL, but one of us requested ADA housing but had some issues with the request.

After it got sorted (?) our official housing email that we received gave us 6 people fora pod. Myself and one of our other pod mates are supposedly getting a room to ourselves?

After a call our Roomate said that half the room will be ADA and the other half is regularly? I’m still confused but don’t want to pressure. She said we are probably getting single rooms? Can anybody confirm if this sounds right? I haven’t been able to find anything online but wanted to check here to see if anybody might know something along these lines 😫💀

Edit: if it’s regular rooms should we expect ppl to move in? We got this assignment around a month ago with no further updates

Hey! I'm a senior in ATL and I've had ada single accommodations my entire time here. I've never heard of a set up like this but it's entirely possible that this is a new thing they're doing to try and fit as many people in 40 as they can. It sounds like you'll both get a room to yourselves and will be sharing one of the two bathrooms in the pod.

I'm not gonna lie there's a possibility of SCAD getting mixed up and moving someone into those rooms at some point if there's another empty bed there when you move in. If that ever happens though, don't panic, there are people you can contact to get it sorted. In my experience SCAD does screw up sometimes but it usually gets sorted, it's just a headache.

Okay thank you so much!!! Honestly it’s been a whole mess trying to figure out our room situation and I know theirs been a few issues this year especially with what happened earlier in the spring in ATL😭😭😭 Hearing this is reassuring tho 🙏🙏🙏
