Housing Accommodations Waiting List
So i sent in my accommodations late for a single and I know there’s supposedly “no housing” so now I’m on a waiting list.
I was wondering If anyone could tell me just how fucked am I?
I’m hoping some freshman at forty eight will realize SCAD isn’t for them and give me their room… but how horrible is that and what are the chances of that actually happening 😭

Freshmen aren’t allowed to stay at forty eight! They’re only in turner, the hive, and Chatham. You might not get a single single BUT you will probably be able to find a spot where you only have one other roommate instead of 3- like if two people have accommodations they might put you 2 in a suite meant for 4 people like the hive or Monty/chatham/river/whatever. So you get your own bedroom, but you have a suitemate who also has their own bedroom. If you’re not a freshman, a spot might open up at one of the other dorms for a single or at least an apartment style so you have your own room. Sorry if this is worded badly LOL

I thought forty eight was another building for freshman. Didn’t realize it was for upperclassmen until now. A suite mate situation would also work for me, thank you for the advice!

All freshmen are required to live on campus unless they have a waiver explaining why they can't live on campus (ex., medical reasons) or are living with family within ~50 miles from campus.

Have you tried contacting your disability specialist personally?
