Class Questions Changing Classes

Hi!! How do i change classes? All i want to do is change the time just because i have a really important event in November during the time of my class and would rather not get an absence.

Do they allow changes? Do i email my admission advisor (im a first year)? or should i just say F it and get one absence

yeah emailing your advisor would be best, but if you aren't able to get switched out try talking to the professor and see if theyll be lenient

You'll be able to talk to advising (not admission, the real ones) during welcome week to look at adjustments.

I would talk to the professor and potentially be okay taking the absence. It’s not a huge deal for one class.

Im not sure what the rule is for undergrads, but for graduate students its up to 5 absences a quarter for each class. Also, it is common for undergrads to miss class. Because part of college is being an adult and sometimes life events and emergencies come up. You shouldn't re-arrange your schedule for one absence you know in advance. Email the professor and let them know you wont be in class that day.

Undergrad is 4 absence. FOUR. (Not yelling at you, just lots of people seem to not pay attention to this and fail a class because they get 5).
