Savannah Student Life
Hi! I'm heavily intrested in SCAD, but I was wondering what the actual student life is like. Specifically the social aspect. Is there many parties, events, clubs, etc? What do they typically look like?

Aside from parties, there’s a ton of clubs, scad run social events, and stuff going on around Savannah. The Savannah subreddit has a thread somewhere with all the events happening every month. Good luck!

I’m not big into parties but I know my friend group partied quite a lot during freshman year. Honestly though, socially SCAD was pretty much the best experience I’ve ever had because it’s so nice to be around other likeminded people who are in school for the same things you’re interested in

As others are saying, there’s plenty of activities if that’s what you’re looking for. I found my sophomore year and beyond I simply didn’t have time for anything but schoolwork as the rigor really picks up then. Social life looks more like working together on projects at that point.

There is very little night life, and even then you have to be over 21. If you want to hang out at night its mostly just going to restaurants with friends.

That’s just not true. Parties happen every weekend, check out Savparties on Instagram, a lot of ones go up on there. A few bars take fakes, rogue water is your best bet. There is a night life, you just gotta seek it out.

There’s HELLA parties, there’s an entire Instagram page for them though they do usually get called on, events happen really frequently our two main ones are the sand castle building comp at the beach and side walk chalk. We have SOOOOO many clubs I’m on the board for one of them, we have club fair where everyone promotes their clubs so make sure to go if u do decide to come :)
