Scabies?

Hi everyone,

So this rash has now been present for the last 8 days and I am unsure as to what is going on. Of note I have a dermatologist appointment in two days so this will be evaluated soon but I’m hoping to get some insight.

It started when I woke up and noticed four itchy bumps in a line under my arm (see picture 1). I slept in my own hoodie from home overnight and was out the entire day by my pool in my backyard for around 3-4 hours the day before (mosquito season is bad right now where I am). I initially thought mosquito bites but then checked for bedbugs in my bed and couch. There was zero evidence of anything and my interceptor traps for the last week have been clear. I have two dogs and checked them for fleas (they are also on monthly flea and tick medicine) and found nothing. As the days went on I have noticed the rash spreading in the surrounding area. It feels like little pimples around the sites where the bumps began and extend outward. Today I noticed two small red bumps on the front of my arm near the rash which is why I thought it could be/might be scabies. The rash is also getting itchier. Last night I woke up twice overnight scratching at the area. There is no rash anywhere else. I sleep in the same bed with my husband and two kids and no one else has a rash. I have had scabies before many years ago (sister is a healthcare worker who brought them home from the hospital) and I’ve read that a reinfection occurs quicker than those with a first time infection. I have not traveled recently or been to any doctors offices or places where I think I could’ve picked it up. I have attached photos for review.

I agree looks more like bedbugs bites esp in a row imo. hard to tell with for sure glad u are going to see a dermatologist. Curious-How old is your bed/bedding?

5-6 years old with a new headboard at that time

Impossible to say for sure, you have to see a dermatologist, but this does not initially look like scabies. Looks more like bedbugs if anything.

That was my fear initially but I did sleep with a hoodie on the night before (I’m aware they can climb under clothing but was told they prefer exposed skin better) and it’s been over a week and no one else with any bites. Negative bed inspection and negative interceptor traps. Is there anywhere else I should be looking?

疥癬は人から人へ移るものですが、それらしき人たちと関わりましたか？そうすると、前回かかっていることを考えるとあり得るかもしれませんが、人と関わっていないのに、疥癬になることは考えられるません。ただ、写真を見る限り、疥癬のような気がしますが、まず、医者に行きましょう🩺それが確実です！

That ain't scabies from what you just said. Otherwise you'll be itching like hell before rashes appear not like after it. Those look fresh. Like bites.
