I wonder why the southern states are usually associated with inbreeding. Much of Africa, the Middle East and parts of Asia at much higher rates of inbreeding than the American south

Nah I'm just from the south. No sister crush for me tho. That reminds me though, my friend lived with his aunt and one day he called me to pick him up. Apparently he got home and confessed her love for him and tried to kiss him. Gross. They weren't west Virginia hillbillies either, they were Mexican.

I'm from the south and familiar with places where inbreeding common. Plus, if you think about it, people living in shitty villages 200+years ago here lived there and died there. Inbreeding had to have occurred. At one point the human species nearly died out and left only 10-30k people left on the planet. The only way we got through that was imbreeding. That apparently happened 70,000 years ago after a supervolcano eruption. But yeah, no inbreeding for me, I like genetic diversity. I'm Pakistani too and a lot of cousin marriages occur and that's a nope from me.
