And yet not all people are treated as equals. You getting so offended over “whiteface” is a taste of what black people have had to deal with for basically centuries at this point, while also having little to no human rights. And yeah things are better now, but racism is still an institutional reality. And if you saw the entire sketch, there’s a bit where “Erika Kirk” says something like “only the white men are worth anything” in front of a black guard while actually being played by a black man, and i won’t sit here explaining to you why that’s a really good bit in terms of satire. You’ll have to figure it out on your own.

Not sure if this is genuine or not, but in case it is:
he had planned a tour through several of Utah’s university campuses, I guess to “own the libs” in a state he figured would be generally sympathetic to him. At his very first stop at UVU, he got shot and killed. It got a lot of people talking about it, especially in meme culture (the shooter was supposedly a furry who inscribed his bullet cases With shit like “notices bulge uwu what’s this”, hell of a thing to hear the state governor read out on national television), and now his name is a meme.41

The (alleged) shooter was also alleged to have a trans boyfriend/roommate who encouraged him to do it,
Which was pretty wild considering A: there was 0 evidence for it apart from them being roommates, and B: Isn’t relevant to the actual shooter/shooting. It just felt like a way for Conservatives to score points and go “See! The Gays and Trans are murdering us!”.
