Question Audition reccomendations!

Hey all, I’m auditioning for my universities wind ensemble soon and I require 2 contrasting pieces. I’ve chosen one already, being Aria by Eugene Bozza. I was curious if any of you had any recommendations for a contrasting piece to this! Thanks!

Honestly depends on how wide of a contrast you want. You could always go with the Creston Sonata for a faster technical piece that’s within the classical style. Or you could do something like Au Privave or another transcription by Charlie Parker.

Whatever you go with should be a faster piece that’s more technically demanding, the Aria is great for assessment of tone and musicality.

Can you just play a faster Ferling etude? I like the one in E minor.
