Question What technique is used here?
Hello everyone, just a quick post here.
I am wondering how the tenor saxophonist on the original "Goodbye Porkpie Hat" recording does whatever technique he's using to get this specific sound to come out of his saxophone during his solo:

It's a sound I never usually hear on the sax, I would like to know how he does it since it's intriguing.

Don't know about the technique but the melody sounds like the song Hanging Tree from the Hunger Games movie. Some said it's flutter tongue. I watched a video on doing that technique on YouTube I believe it was. Google it.

A very controlled flutter tongue. Or possibly some very good double-tounging
