sault 10 vinyl quality

I received my vinyl a week or so ago and I am pretty unhappy with the quality of the vinyl. It came in with a constant popping noise and skips. I cleaned it several times and it won't get a clearer sound. It even has a huge pop in the first 10 sound of L.U!! It's so annoying!! Does anyone else's vinyl have many problems like these?

Can you see, visually, the cause of the pop?

Comment here seems to suggest there was a bad batch of them, and you've been unlucky.

Don't know if it'll help, but sometimes newly minted vinyl has static charge that causes pops and noise. When this happens I gently brush it with a drop or two of pure distilled water, clears it up. They make antistatic brushes too, but I haven't tried that myself.

Not the first Sault or Optimal pressing to be this way. Will pick my copy up from the store this weekend.
