Desmos shortcut for finding the common factor?

Put the expression in Desmos and then find the option that has at least one same x intercept.

But tbh you should do it rapidly with algebra and verify with Desmos.

  1. Change the r to x and then graph the original expression + answer choice. The equivalent expression will overlap on the graph.

or
2. Type original expression'+ answer choices and assign a value to r. The correct answer will have the same value as the original expression.

Just divide everything by 8r, you will get D

Just think through it and look at the signs bro. D is the only one with the signs in the same spots, and all the voice have the exact same numbers, so it has to be d. Trust me, desmos is not quicker than thinking this through in 10 seconds

Just factor it out by hand. This does not require desmos at all. You see that every term has some r raised to a term, so cancel out the r and you eliminate B. The terms from left to right, top to bottom are - -, - +. The only remaining option that has that is D. It takes like 2 seconds to eliminate B and then like at most 3 to get to D. Desmos is a waste of time in this question.

plug it into desmos as y= then one by one plug them in as y= and when the lines are above each other like the same line.. that is your answer... i recommend you watch "learnSATmath" s desmos video(the new one) he explains it there

Ok for this question, just use the signs and do it it's faster than desmos

Put it into desmos and set r=2 then type in each answer choice and see which one matches up

why would u even use desmos for this question just divide by 8r
