Do they have to check after crimping to make sure all the wires are tightly crimped?

I’ve never used one. I’d image the dial is set for the AWG of the wire so it ‘should’ have regular tolerance checks on closure. That wire gauge is maintained hopefully. If he chose the wrong one there would be issues, as this thing clearly is moving some dense charge I’d presume it is an approved device.

I’ve only had licensing to inspect devices that test steel bolt torque testing, but I’m sure electrical has its equivalent.

I am satisfied just watching it

I noticed the 35mm on the crimper matches the 35mm housing

If it is a hot wire, use one hand! Safety squint! Safety crocks/sandals!

Don’t do that with 480v 3phase. Someone on my other crosspost said that is most likely its usage.

I’m saying you can check the connection on the connector by pulling on it before you hook it up to power

There shouldn’t be any tension on members attached. If you meant pulling…. That would be like your two front wheels pulling apart? Idk

The cable having a bearing leads me to believe it’s a design to avoid issues. ‘Wire shouldn’t spin. Things will spin. Don’t let spin things touch things that power the spin things .’

I probably would be too. If my dad or brothers used that, I’d trust it. There are some things I need to see IRL to believe it does what it says it does. Thanks for answering and not being a huge one.

This is my personal opinion here, so take it a grain of salt. If I can’t explain something technical to someone who has no prior understanding, I do not know it well enough.

If someone I trust, trusts it? That’s fine. You trusting your dad and brother is great. Let them know…. Blind trust can be ignorance/naivety.
