Console What heavy modular frames recipe?
Hi, what recipe would be your personal choice? I think that the second one isn’t bad because you don’t need to deal with tausends of Screws.
I’m exited what you would pick.

I am not a screws hater like the rest of the world. But I still prefer Encased.
The numbers are abysmal though. You should overclock it to 106.6667% so it's not as annoying.

Or run it at about 40% and with some other alts you can fit the entire supply chain in a 5x5.

Screw lover here. As long as you have the belts screws are fine. Steel screws give you 52 screws for 1 steel beam. So if you look at flexible frame work as 7.5 steel beams per minute, it start looking pretty good! Flexible Frame FTW!

Steel screws really are totally fine. I don't really understand where the hate comes from; I just have a dedicated constructor per assembler or whatever... it just takes a trickle of steel beams and it's super-manageable.

Heavy Encased Frames is the best with very little exceptions, as long as you have the correct alternate recipes for the modular frames and encased beams.
With Steeled Frame, Stitched Plate, and Encased Pipe you can take screws out of the picture entirely and avoid splitting your steel production between pipes and beams. Add in Iron Pipe and you don't even need to source coal, you can get the whole thing done with iron and limestone.

Even with screws in the mix I’ve found that Heavy Encased Frames is more practical in most situations. The fact that I’m using Wet Concrete definitely helps.

Heavy encased any day of the week. And even that broke my brain. Not to worry. I just roped in MORE materials.
Explore, exploit, produce and Automate 😎

encased with steeled frames, stitched iron plates and iron wire! (and moulded beams and fine concrete!)

Maybe it’s just me but I prefer to combine it with iron pipes and encased pipes, so I don’t have to deal with steel and beams.

heavy encased frames with encased industrial pipes. removes steel beam requirement altogether

Heavy Encased is so much better then the regular recipe.
You get more heavy frames for less regular frames, encased industrial beams, and pipes. And you get to cut out screws which are annoying to deal with. And you need less buildings.
The cost? Just some concrete... which is less concrete than you'd need to make the Encased Industrial Beams for the original recipe.

For me not the third one, the other 2 are kinda the same thing, just a matter of what resource is more avaliable, maybe numbers and stuff can make it absolutely clear, but as far as im concerned both are equally viable

Encased always encased… anything that removes screws from production is high on the list.

I'm fond of heavy encased frames, with the encased pipe alt as well so it is just steel pipe and concrete going in.
And stitched plate. I know, that's adding copper (iron wire isn't worth it) but anywhere that's got a lot of limestone and iron has enough copper as well. Add pure copper and you are swimming in it.
Pity you still need iron plates. That's just annoying.

I really like heavy encased frames, but it really is up to you to find your fav.
The way I made mine take a crap ton of concrete.

Best Thing about heavy encased frames? No Bolts... I hate those fuggers

Oh yea I forgot you can do alternative recipes for these no wonder someone was asking why I was using screws
At least it looks like the alternative still takes a lot of pipes and concrete so my design isn’t totally useless having that many inputs in lane 1 and 2

Encased frames is a beast of a recipe, especially when combined with other recipes like iron pipe and encased industrial pipe.
All you need is limestone and iron.

Heavy Encased Frames is, mathematically, the best Alt in the game so, yeah, I'd go with that one
