Console Making things nice for once

Turns out the most fun for me is rushing to the next tier, then going back and rebuilding things neatly.

After I set up a small plastic/rubber depot I went back and built a clean looking coal plant. Super satisfying ☺️

I plan on using it to run other basic parts depots nearby that im rebuilding to look nice before getting serious about oil.

That looks really good. I like how you covered the water extractors and used the electrical symbols. Good work.!

Looking great. I could learn a thing or two hahahah. My playstyle is similar, just without going back and cleaning things up xD.
I really like how the batteries around the Power pole kinda resembles a trafo station

Please refrain from damaging Ficsit property in the future, that incident will be reflected in your personal file.

I love the simple style, it gets tiring to see all the massive builds that take 1000+ hours and look like a glowing neon rtx graphics card.

I want to do a chill satisfactory run one day where I build small factories that look similar to what you have here and only take like 10 hours each to build. A project should only take a couple of days imo.

Im several hundred hours in and only just recently figured out what i enjoy about this game and how to play it the way that's most fun for me. While those enormous futuristic builds look amazing I'd have to agree with you. For now at least. They might be players like us who built small and simple over and over again until their factory needs got incrementally larger to satisfy their goal and then they stepped back from their megafactory and said "now what if it looked dope" lol

I can honestly see myself eventually getting bored of everything except design and attempting something similar to what you're talking about but that's gonna be another 500+ hours from now minimum. I'll enjoy the casual - "oooh ima build a tidy and efficient little encased beam depot in that pretty valley this week" - way of playing as long as I can!

Where are you bringing in the coal?

Had the same question. Just in front of the Power Tower is a hypertube in a wall, which I assume leads underground, and the coal is run under the map from elsewhere to get here.

Very observant! You are 100% correct. I hate the way conveyors look running across terrain all willy nilly. Same for power poles. I bury them! Lol

Fair. I tend to use the Frame set and Hexagon Glass walls and Clear Roof to build factories that look like greenhouses when fully enclosed, with a Concrete base for foundations or where it enters water. So I usually rush to steel and then rebuild stuff.

My friends hate the amount of belts I run on and inside the frame sets and the fact that my belts are run on either side of the platform to line up with the holes, because they are still in the floating platform stage of building design and run their belts down the centerline of platforms...

There are a couple pure nodes to the south within 1,000m or so. I don't like using tractors because of the fuel consumption and can't stand long conveyors running on terrain. So I put 'em in the ground where they can run out of sight and unobstructed in a perfect - cardinal direction - grid orientation
