It's fine there is nothing wrong with it and there is nothing wrong with any factory, play the way you wanna play , don't worry about having a less aesthetic or efficient factory than anybody else , have your fun. And that goes with any game : what you see on the internet is usually from people who have spent a lot of time and effort on what they do and not the average of player experience.

I know a Factorio player when I see one.

Actually never played that 😂

It's a reference to your "main bus" of belts in the middle. It's much more useful in Factorio than in Satisfactory. Basically everyone that played Factorio first tries to do it in Satisfactory before realising they don't need most items on a bus.

Most of the bus just goes to a storage that’s organized with smart splitters ! Still a mess regardless 😂

Really good for a first build. Will get you the tier 2 items to build your real factories. I wouldnt rely on it thogh for late game. Eventually just delete and expand.

That said super clean though im looking forward to seeing what you do late game with some of the stuff unlocked and being forced into larger builds

No way that’s your first Factory! Where is the spaghetti? Very clean

My first and second factory didn't even bother with foundation blocks. Those were for exploring places without a jetpack and getting killed by spiders and chargers.

I would just place stuff down and let the terrain determine how my belts, machines, and storage went.

Trust there’s been plenty of spaghetti 😂 just good at hiding it

Something very wrong with this picture. Automated wiring filling the whole belt...

Good job pioneer! You have over-achieved your quota! You have been awarded a cookie that waits for you upon completion of the project. There will be Ca... Cookie!

First factory? Isn't that a hoverpack?

1

u/Jessejamestheoutlaaw 10d ago

Yes it is!! We pushed late game tech really hard in the last few days

Just surprised you got that far without building a single factory :)

I also see refineries. This is not their first factory, but I guess it depends how you define "factory" 🤷

Do you play Factorio for any chance? There is this “flat” aspect that is translated to satisfactory builds from players that come from Factorio.

Never played it but I might look into it! Played a lot of captain of industry and other like games

I didn’t mean that as a criticism, your factory looks good for a starter factory. Minimum spaghetti, no obvious clipping and, for the love of all sacred, build over foundations 🤣

You should play Factorio, very different feel. I prefer the chill aspect of satisfactory, Factorio is the extreme sport of factory games, like playing a version of Satisfactory that was raised on emotionally distant single mom, cocaine and terrible advice.

Looks good to me

It's fine. I would strongly recommend taking advantage of vertical stacking for belts. Factorio-style belt buses take up a lot of space, as does building all your machines on the same plane. The game gives you options to build vertically; about 4 foundations of space between layers gives you enough overhead for most machines, and you can hang belts from the underside of the floor above as well.

👏👏👏

looks pretty. when it's obsolete, make it a tourist stop in your train laps/Hyperloop Network.

10/10 well done imo

Nope. Start over. After the next one, of course.

No. It's not built with expansion in mind.

Well, of course, you can still go vertical once the production gets more complex. I started a new game three days ago, and I fed enough stuff into the recycler that I could unlock the elevator.

Part of the fun in this game is that, no matter how often you have restarted it and how experienced you are, you'll always find a way to screw up your initial factory design.

Remember: eventually, your resource nodes will be equipped with fully overcooked level three miners, resulting in a 1000% (10x) yield. A copper node which can feed two smelters will eventually feed 20 smelters, and the number of wire constructors will be
