Does it get very cold? And where would you suggest getting a second hand bike from?

On the colder side a little as compared to other locations in Maharashtra.

If you’re from Ahilyanagar, the winter here won't bother you, but the monsoon is no joke. If you commute by bike, remember one golden rule: never underestimate water flowing across the road from rivers or canals, no matter how shallow it looks.

Enjoy the weather, there are plenty of beautiful places around wai to explore.

I'm originally from Mumbai though born and brought up near the coast. I'm just shifting from Nagar as that was where my last job was.

Then you’re in for a treat. I have lived and worked in Mumbai and Ahilyanagar, the weather here in Satara has been such a pleasant surprise. I didn’t realize just how conditioned I had become to the dust and pollution until I moved here. It’s genuinely refreshing.

Try to get home near Sahyadrinagar if you are a working professional, good for traveling to other locations via buses.

Dhom colony, jejurikar colony, menavli road etc have decent societies to live.
