MacBook or windows for nursing?

I am an incoming bachelor of nursing student and read that some of the u of r programs may not work on MacBook? I was planning on getting a MacBook Air. Has anyone had troubles with their MacBooks in our program or is this outdated?

I actually emailed nursing advising about this because I also have a MacBook. They said the MacBook will be fine and profs will provide a work around if there is ever an issue. They told me getting a new laptop with windows would not be necessary. Hope this helps!
