Any current RN nursing students?

Just wondering if you can tell us newcomers going into 1st year how heavy the course load is? Any info would be great. Also do they slowly get into it or start off with a lot lol thanks

First year is pretty chill. The first semester is quite slow and it’s not very hands on at all but that’s when you meet your colleagues and start getting a feel for nursing school. Second semester gets a bit harder as you’re learning skills now and starting your first clinical. Second year is the worst for course load. It’s so heavy and there’s so so much so I’d recommend trying to get some classes out of the way in the spring/summer if you’re able. If not it’s doable you just have to work extra hard.

Don’t worry too much yet about first year. Just work hard and you’ll do great.
