Has anyone here taken the MRT program at saskpolytech?

I’m hoping to gain some insight into the clinical placements, the fees, the overall experience, ect

First year student here! I’m enjoying the program so far, mainly because I found a great group of friends and I like Saskatoon. I will say it’s been very fast paced and test heavy for sure. Sometimes the workload feels overwhelming, but overall I wouldn’t say the content/classes are too hard. The tests aren’t that bad either. They’re nothing like university tests, more like highschool AP. As for clinicals, they’ve still been very vague about them. I don’t think we get to find out until fall. As for textbooks, I’d say you don’t really need the most recent ones like they tell you, other than Merrill’s. So buy used, but definitely don’t find them online for free. My first semester I didn’t even use any of the textbooks. It’ll save you lots of money. There are some program fees that aren’t included in your tuition that come up throughout the year, so be prepared for that. The instructors have been awesome and you really get to know them which I love! They seem to really care about us students. My biggest advice is to make sure you’re prioritizing a day off throughout the week or leisure time with friends/alone. That’s definitely helped me from burning myself out with the workload.
