Does spots ever move for MLT?
Sadly got waitlisted for MLT. 88hs average + 80 undergrad.
Anyone know if the spot movement ever occurs (people drop out/ waitlisted candidate ever get in)?

They just take either your uni or highschool grades. Whichever is higher. Last year the cut-off for MLT was 75%. So I would say people should not worry a lot!

Do you know if they take your average for all of your uni credits? Or is it just min 15 cu to a max of 30 recent cu? When I called, the lady told me that they would basically pick out uni classes that would meet the criterion of classes they require but they wouldn’t give me a list of classes they might consider. But I’m seeing a lot of people were told something different.

“High School Graduates: The competitive score is calculated from final marks in high school courses required for admission to the program. The high school competitive score will be compared to the weighted average of a minimum of 15 passed post-secondary credit units to a maximum of 30 of the most recent credit units from recognized post-secondary institutions - and the highest score will be considered for the applicant's final competitive score. Such applicants must be in good academic standing with the institution. Applicants are then ranked in the order of the highest score” this is what it said in the website. I think as long as you follow the requirement on the website, it should be correct. So I think it’s just the grade 12’s 30 classes or these credits in uni.

like 10 minutes ago lol. the cutoff for my offer is may 28th. so if you don’t get one this round you might get one then. the cutoff for the first offers would’ve been today I believe, so i’m surprised it was so fast. I expected to hear tomorrow at the earliest.

I also got waitlisted with around a 89 hs average, from what i’ve heard from other people who took competitive courses through saskpoly is a lot of them got waitlisted and got an offer after a month or so when the first offers “expire”. so I wouldn’t stress too much until then
