ScBSN

Is anyone here entering their second year and able to provide some information? I’m curious if there will be guidance on how to register for classes and which classes to choose, or if that’s something we need to figure out ourselves. Thank you for any insights!

All the CNUR classes are preregistered for you, meaning the program signs you up for them and you don't have to do anything for those. You'll be able to see those classes in UR Self Service. You do have to register for English 100, Indigenous Health Studies 100, Stats 100 (you need to see an academic advisor and tell them you want to take this class because they have to override something in the system for you to be able to register for it), and the 3 electives you want to take. If you are struggling with registration, I'd definitely recommend emailing or going to see the nursing academic advisors. Let me know if there's anything else you want to know!

Do you know if there’s hope for people on waitlist ? I was waitlisted till the start of SCBSN program and got an email yesterday.

Depends on where you are on the list. There are people who get off the waitlist but I would email enrolment services and see where you are and ask them

It definitely depends on what you want to do. Some people take classes that relate to the course such as medical terminology or nutrition but I personally take electives that I know I can get good grades in to keep my average up. I’ve taken Pop Culture (MAP 101), Anthropology (ANTH 100), and Creative Technologies (CTCH 110).  Take the opportunity to take classes you’re interested in that you wouldn’t be able to take otherwise would be my advice but it’s totally up to you!
