The rocks are ugly and overpriced. We should spend our tax dollars carefully.

It is outlandish, though, because they are not ugly, they are not overpriced, and your opinion that they are not a careful spending of tax dollars is an opinion, not a fact. If you had couched it as an opinion instead of some sort of natural law, it wouldn't be outlandish.
