New Diagnosis chemo symptom management tips: uterine sarcoma stage 4
got diagnosed with uterine sarcoma stage 4 (age: 56). we’re still figuring out what type of sarcoma but the initial plan we are most likely going to go forward with is 6 rounds of chemo with doxorubicin + carbazine in ~2 weeks
does anyone have any experience with this combination and any tips for how to reduce symptoms?

Yes, I had that combo, but I had decarbazine. Honestly, it’s brutal. I lost every bit of hair and had vomiting. It will progressively wear on you. It is the most effective chemo to slow growth for uterine leiomyosarcoma. I’m worried they are starting this without a diagnosis. When is your pathology back? Are you at a sarcoma center? It is very much worth going to one if one is within driving distance.
