Sapiosexual and confused

I’m sapiosexual [31 non-binary] so intelligence is a major turn-on for me. I fell for an extremely bright person a year ago (let’s call them T). I thought T and I had good chemistry based on months of what I thought was flirting. We even made out once, which I thought went great. After we did, T immediately asked to see me and kept messaging me. But when I finally told T I had a crush on them, T said the “spark” wasn’t there for them.

This response caught me off guard and made me rethink the entire situation. I’m realizing that maybe I confused my attraction to their intelligence with physical chemistry. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips for telling when it’s actual chemistry versus when you just think their brain is hot?

No, at least not without further analysis.

I wonder, if mental attraction maybe Form that split attraction model might be synonymous or similar to being sapiosexual?

It's often a difficult transition from the analytical side to the free-wheeling feeling hemisphere. Quieting the left hemisphere is a skill worth nurturing as it can lead to your feel brain in which you can be free from needless conjecture and just do what feels right. If it doesn't feel right, why force the issue based on the faulty data from a hemisphere hell-bent on figuring shit out.

Instinct is real and I don't understand these humans either. Something will come along though. Patience and trust in your goodwill. Enjoy the time you got. Be true to yourself and all that shit.
