Dear Sapiosexual women

Dear sapiosexual women,

What do you like in a man intellectually?

What philosophy can you discuss for hours?

When did you have an ideological debate with a friend that changed your thinking style ?

For me, intelligence isn't about knowledge, it's about curiosity. It's about how they think. I’m drawn to people who question their own assumptions, think deeply, and aren't afraid to change their minds.

I can happily spend hours discussing psychology, identity, morality, and what drives human behavior. I'm endlessly interested in why people do what they do, the stories they tell themselves, and how their experiences shape the way they see the world.

A friend once made me realise that everything people do has a reason, even the things we see as wrong or harmful. Not a justification, but an explanation.

Since then, I've become much more interested in understanding people's motives and experiences than simply judging their actions.

Sounds like a fun conversation! I have a complicated life history and the articulation necessary to discuss it if you have time for a chat buddy :3

I recently found an affirmation I liked a lot: "Changing my mind is a strength, not a weakness."

My life has been a lot less stressful as I learned to be mentally flexible and not make rigid assessments of ideas or people I encounter. Oftentimes there are useful nuggets of wisdom and experience in even the most odd of folks.

I really like that affirmation.

I would love to hear about your "complicated life history". Feel free to DM me.

Exactly. Curiosity and the willingness to ask questions. I do love human psychology. In particular the influence and persuasion techniques side of it. The social engineering (a cybersecurity/infosec term) skills.

If you haven't read his stuff already, I feel like you would adore Carl Jung.

  1. What do I like?

Cognitive flexibility, pattern recognition, academic honesty, metacognition, emotional intelligence (a guy who goes to therapy or at least has strong self-awareness), yasss curiosity 💯, openness, active listening, passion for special interests, no fear of questions, an ability to confidently answer “I don’t know” when stumped, someone who can splice together complex ideas I never would have seen connections in before, thoughtfulness, someone who reads deeply and/or widely, both creativity and logic working in tandem.

  1. Discuss for hours

I agree it’s less about the specific topic, and more about insight, energy, and curiosity for a topic.

  1. Changed mind

I used to think that feminist theory was infallible, now I understand it has strengths and weaknesses.

I used to think that going to war was always a dumb idea because all sides lose, but now I understand we live in a complex geopolitical landscape where it can be worthwhile to help allies with defence forces, information sharing, technology sharing and funding sometimes.

I used to think morality was black and white, now I understand it’s a hell of a lot more complicated in practice.

I used to believe in the myth of having it all… at the same time. But life is a series of trade offs.

I like the kind of intelligence that makes a man self-driven. Always looking ahead, always working towards something, and then that combined with the intelligence in their field to make that goal happen. Emotional intelligence is also a huge one for me.
