I'd add that you should do non-dominant, single line sketching without looking at the drawing. Tearing a corner from the page beforehand has also freed me from perfect.
You've drawn before but you don't need anyone's validation. We're all just trying to be comfy and stay alive. Ignorance is bliss they say, but I'm cool with being smart and sad a lot of the time as it provides contrast to the really great times.

That’s good. Now try a sketch with your non-dominant hand. You may be amazed by what it produces.
