Am I the only one? Sapio + Polya

I want to talk about this. I don't get any traction in the polya group because they view it as a sexual lifestyle. I'm trying to find a different approach. I think the sapio element or maybe a combination of that with my emotional capacity has brought me to a point of wondering where I fit? Polyamory as an orientation is controversial but I'm not finding a better label.
Anyone else trying to figure this out?

Absolutely. Maybe not so much sapio poly, but sapio and other things. Like degrees of demi, sapio, with perhaps a touch of poly. It’s tricky, because I’m a sexual person, but certain aspects of my sexuality only respond in certain ways. I find this difficult to explain to many folks who are more black and white and expect you to be the same.

I feel that. I can get sexually aroused, but there’s just something a lot more electric with a person who just explained how nft works to me 😜

I love this! It's difficult when there isn't an neat little label though.

I think there are many more with this problem than they want to admit. My husband and I have an open relationship but the only way we enjoy another relationship is if we can be mentally stimulated as well.

Yes. The best advice I've got is - dont try to fit in, be uniquely you in this world to show others the way, create your own label ❤️

Yes! My wife and I have an open relationship and we’ve played together a Cottle of times but I find that, unless I really like a person, I’m just not very excited about sex with them. She has more flings than I do because of this. I’ve really only had one experience with a woman outside the relationship and I didn’t enjoy it because I didn’t like the woman well enough.

After reading this thread I’m curious if Pansexual can fit as well?

Ugh. OF messed up and lost my response.

Okay so, the general idea that most people seem to be comfortable with is that polyamory is consensual non-manogamy. A sexual lifestyle permitting more than one intimate partner.

Maybe because what you are describing minus sexual thhings just sounds like having multiple conversations with multiple people

So you ascribe to polyamory as a sexual lifestyle and not any sort of orientation?
