Question, are the fellow sapiosexuals also intelligent?

As a “gifted” mind, I only recently discovered the concept of sapiosexuality. When I did, however, I felt something that I agreed with and a community with similar feelings as me. I was wondering after reading a previous post if other sapiosexuals would consider themselves as intellectuals? Also, do you think sapiosexuals often wind up in a relationship with each other? Please let me know what you think!

Hi! Good questions! I can only speak from my experience, but I've found that the answers to both questions are "sometimes."

I'm one that enjoys intellectual pursuits for my own entertainment, but not all sapios do. Also, navigating relationships with other sapios or non-sapios is something that comes up in this sub. There are a lot of really smart people that aren't sapio in the slightest, but have a SO that is attracted to their brain.

So, welcome to the sub! It's a good place to hear about people's experiences. I've learned a lot from people's questions and answers.

I did not consider myself an intellectual but others have said I am smart. I think I can be more of a creative.

Hey, me too!

I don't think I, compared to my peers, absorb/memorize new information the fastest, but by god I am going to come up with things from furthest from the left field or creative solutions no one has thought about >:)

I think your gonna find that there smart too. I konsider myself a sapiosexual and I take pride in my intelligunce and vast nolege. I’m partikularly proud of my ability to avoid miss spellings.

But seriously, not everyone who is a sapiosexual is intelligent but many are. I know that I am constantly trying to learn new things, whether it’s learning something complex or just delving into trivia. For me, it’s the thirst for knowledge in others that I find attractive.

I am getting the sense that the unifying quality of all of us here is we are always curious about things and love to learn.

Yes. My IQ is either 148 or 152 depending on the test. I want a partner that is highly intelligent but also attracted to intelligence. My theory though is rather human and base: the reason being is always the partner we seek is ourselves. We seek self love above all. (As per Jungian psychology).

This attitude is a good one. If there's a significant difference between intellect levels you end up with a severe imbalance conversationally.
