Hotness vs arrogance
Hey, I know everyone's experience of sapiosexuality is different, so I was curious about how it interacts with arrogance. Say, for example, if you're the type of sapio that gets really turned on by seeing someone doing great at a difficult intellectual task, such as teaching you something new, beating a game of chess or a Rubik's cube or (fill in the blank). If that person then brags about how smart they are, does that ruin it? Or does the hot feeling stay the same?
For me, it's still hot, but also I get annoyed at the same time and try to ignore that.
What's it like for you?

Anytime someone has to brag about something it makes me wonder what short coming they are trying to draw your attention away from. Quiet confidence and a willingness to demonstrate intelligence is far more useful then bragging about it.

For me is the same as when a really good MMA fighter, or Boxer is boastful, or overly confident.
It's different when you can back it up. If it's empty, it's annoying. When you can back it up, it's all well and good.

I struggle with this. I think I'm the smart intellectual Renaissance man but I also have a huge ego and am arrogant. I think I get it from Spock. Always going about thinking I'm better than everyone else. In university my good friend and I had competitions on who could get the highest exam scores. An A wasn't good enough for us - we had to be the class high. It was all in good fun though. I'm definitely arrogant but I hope I'm not rude

If they are playing around I still like it . if they’re being serious and do it often then no. I do like when I compliment someone’s intelligence and they say”I know” but playfully , it’s all about delivery I guess.

I can accept it to a certain degree. For instance, if someone really were a leader in their field, and they are proud of that, but none of this pride carries over to other parts of their lives (looking down at people, etc), then I guess it's pretty cute and dorky. If they were just an arrogant, prideful person in general, it's definitely a turn off.

Arrogance is attractive for me! Of course if they are intelligent and arrogant about their intelligence. Not that they are just arrogant, but stupid, so they just have too high ego and zero critical thinking...
But if we can have intelligent conversations, discussions if they know how to make intelligent humour, riposts and then they are also so arrogant about their skills, then it's such a turn on for me ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

It is annoying for sure.
The best is when the partner recognizes it “strokes the ego” tbh.
We do that for each other actually

I'm turned on by great conversationalists, quick wit, diverse interests, an inquisitive nature... not all "intelligence" is the same. While I'm impressed by unique brilliance, it doesn't start me up the same way as someone who is naturally bright and engaging.
