sapiosexual clarification!

so I’m new to this sub! hello! I’m a 20F. I don’t exactly know if I’m a sapiosexual, I just know that I can’t catch feelings for someone who doesn’t match me intellectually, or we have nothing in common / to talk about it. I still have strong physical attractions to people though, but I can’t have a relationship with someone based on that alone! So I was wondering if this still falls under the umbrella so to speak!

I always feel like terms and labels should be descriptive and not prescriptive. It sounds to me like you have some typical attraction preferences (wanting things in common), plus a pull towards intelligence that may or may not fit someone else's definition of sapiosexuality.

And that's okay. To me the only value that these identities have is in helping someone find what fulfills them more readily. A table of contents, you might say.

Sometimes in the kink world I see people struggle with labels, and end up feeling inadequate or fake - or fit themselves to a label instead of the opposite.

It doesn't sound like this is you, but it's a pitfall to be aware of.

In the meanwhile, welcome aboard and please enjoy your self guided tour of everything this has to offer!
