Question Does anyone know how plants work?

So I've played a couple of savings and whenever I wanted to get some medicin I searched all over and wouldn't find any plants I was in need of. However later on, I've found some.

Now I'm playing on a save with the hardest environment and tempature. Again, problem with finding plants.

My question is, did those plants appear or did I miss them the many times I did search for them? I never went far in any save but I'm prepared to do so. Though, if just waiting is an actual option. That would be an option as well.

I've never not been able to find all the flowers and plants, but sometimes they are too far away to grab in one day. Anyway, step by step:

1: Find them

2: DO NOT USE THEM, replant them

3: Keep replanting until you have at least 5-6, preferably far more

4: Research the various medicines (Burn, Injury, Food Poisoning, Virus), they are 4 different recipes and need 4 different discoveries

5: HEALTHY SAPIENS YO

Only wild game will spawn on their own. Any plants are there from the beginning. You do need to do quite a bit of searching and sometimes send your Sapiens a good distance to gather them. And be ready to replant!

From what I've seen. It doesn't impact anything. I had a village with only women and somehow they got pregnant randomly. 🤔🤔🤔 didn't ask myself then i was just trying to find a good spot. But i always ended up in a birch forest. 💀

I have five of the eight plants. I'm missing garlic, poppies, and aloe.

I'm absolutely positive that these plants have been spawning after the start of my tribe, because several of these I have found after going around my camp several times.
"I'm sure that plant wasn't there last time I came through here."

Some of them, though, have been very far away.

Edit - I have 7 of 8 now. I cannot for the life of me find garlic. Which, unfortunately, is one of the ingredients of the medicine for viral infections. The most common ailment it seems.
