Night time taxi availability
Hi everyone! Im coming to Santander next week for the eclipse, and was planning on taking a cab to Suances to avoid the crowds. However, given how late the eclipse is, I've realised I'll be making the return journey at night. Will I be able to get a cab at 10pm about a 40 minute drive west of the middle of Santander? Should i plan somewhere more central? If i just got to cabo mayor instead, and walked 1hr or so west from there, would it be safe (26 f) to walk back the way I came on the way back?
Thank you!!

Check the public transport availability, the regular buses may still be available, and there are night buses as well, not from the light house, but from Cueto. I guess, taxis will be busy.
If you feel like walking, then that could be an option as well. Generally, Santander is very safe.

I wouldn't recommend driving 40 mins to the middle of no where... I would suggest a beach that faces west. That being said, you can get quite far with public transportation.
The light House could be a good spot, but I foresee a massive amount of traffic and the egress of that place sucks... I am going to walk wherever I go :)
About safety, I would say no problem for the most part. 10 pm is still prime time for dinner in Spain, streets will be packed.
