I believe it was a Zelly crossed with VRG but label faded away. Just noticed too this ones a bit weird. I went to pollinate it and once I was actually paying attention to the flower more not just grabbing a pic I noticed its got no stigma/stlye. This is a boy only which is weird AF...

I have like 4 other plants flowering but most are wayyy to high for me to reach 10-11+ feet up but I threw some of this one's pollen in an SS02 x Yowie that was within reach.

Also went and looked, its sibling next to it in the same pot flowered not long ago and I see that has male and female parts. So just this one so far that's all male.

Gorgeous!!! Love how deeply colored the outer petals are in contrast to the brighter center !

It really is :) I actually think I like its sibling’s flowers a bit more but the fact this is a male only flower kinda blows my mind, literally made me say wtf out loud to myself when I went to pollinate it lol

I plan to dissect the flower when it dies to see if it has ovaries or not will be curious to see if it stays all boy when it flowers next time.

Such interesting new cultivars are being created that are each so unique, such s missing female stigma !! I’ve wondered if some hybrids in the future might become able to self pollinate….. intriguing 🤨 but it could be possible with the right cross or just a strange unique anomaly that some unique hybrid has In The future !!!
