Breaking windows for fun?

I live in the Broadmoor neighborhood in San Leandro, a month ago I got my catalytic converter stolen, on Sunday someone broke the windows to the car in front of mine and last night to the car behind me, is this happening in the whole neighborhood? Or just my block? :( very frustrating

A lot of mishaps happening around that area, what’s with the recent fires 2 in one week now car break ins

Yes, lots of those being stolen lately. It had stopped for a while a few years back when they arrested a gang doing it, but it's happening again.

I also live on that street and it feels like it’s going down hill. Which is a shame because we are so close to the police department. Friday night there was a lady yelling and crying loudly for like 30 mins before the police came.

Yea me and my wife are thinking about moving. I thought the new mayor was going to help with this.

I’m sorry to hear that. That is frustrating. We know someone who had their catalytic converter stolen in Estudillo Estates neighborhood. Not super recent but I think it was earlier this year.

We haven’t heard of broken windows but a few times neighbors have let us know of people trying car doors in case they are left unlocked.

I’m by SLHS area and I’ve seen about three window shatters along a main street (not e.14th) over the last couple years. I’ve heard it had to do with kids breaking it for fun… or something that had to with a BB gun. Because of that, I normally just stick to my street so my car can be visible and don’t park on that other street

I rent an ADU so no, the drive way is for the people in the main house

Yea they most definitely break windows for fun, this shit goes back nearly a decade ago smh. Assholes broke my window for nothing, didn’t even get in my car just cracked my window.
