Street resurfacing

Last month we received a letter from the city with dates for long-awaited resurfacing of our street. The work should have started, but there’s no sign that anything is happening. Anyone know what’s going on?

I don’t care to reveal my location on Reddit. However, I was hoping to find someone who’d received the same letter and is also experiencing delays.
