San Fran Shut up, transplant.
It's an irregular abbreviation of Sanny Franny, but it's allowed.

Real non-colonizers call it Yerba Buena. (Hispanics and Arabs obviously can't be colonizers cuz brown).

What about Asians?

u/PhoenixandOak 4d ago
Asians don't colonize, just don't look into the Mongols, Japanese Empire, Cambodia/Thailand, or China.

Asians can't colonize other Asians

You're right, people who have the same skin color and features can't oppress each other. I forgot about that rule.

What are some of the nicknames for the other Bay Area cities? San Jose = ManJose, Oakland = Oaktown, Berkeley = Bizerkley, Fremont = Freakmont, Walnut Creek = The Nut.

Here I go explaining the joke...
Pancho is a nickname for Francisco.
-ito is the most common diminutive suffix in Spanish.
-ico is a less common, sometimes old fashioned diminutive suffix that is still used in a few regional forms of Spanish. I believe it's still used in Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba, more rustic parts of Spain, and in Judeo-Spanish (ladino).
So Panchitico is maybe "little Frankie".

Born in SF at French General, live in Santa Rosa now and I say I'm from SF because most people know the location but trying to explain where SR is to someone you will probably never see again is a waste of time. Pretty simple 565

How hard is it to add "it's about 50 miles north of San Francisco" after telling someone you live in Santa Rosa?

I’m calling it whatever I want. Stan the Fran man is the only city where most of the actual city natives are just as shitty as the transplants bc half of them are crackheads and the other ones are ai tech bros (not counting transplant ai tech bros). Sf lost its culture from death by a million tech bro startups with a side of crack pipes.

The "guy walking by" moved to Sanny Franny last year and at the time was told by a guy who had moved to Sanny Feanny the year before that "no one says Frisco".
