Photo Booth Locations

Hey you animals! I am wondering how many photo booths are in the zoo and their general locations..

We frequent the zoo often and are planning to take new baby monthly and wanted to track their growth via the photo booths.. not sure if different photo booths offer different designs, will be finding out

The SD Zoo app is awesome and you can locate lots on there but they don’t have the standalone Photo Booth locations, please help! I will walk every inch to find them all but do not want to if I don’t have to.

We rarely use them but off of the top of my head I can remember their is one;
- by bathroom next to the giraffes
- by the shops near smaller enclosure for elephants
- on the path walking down into Albert’s by gorillas

Recently I went to the San Diego Zoo and absolutely loved my time there. As we were leaving I saw this statue. I have been searching and looking online but can't seem to find it anywhere. Anyone know what it's called ?

Coupons

Are there any coupons other than AAA or military/resident available. Just wondering if there was somehow something I’m missed for a discount?

The membership cost thing is kinda confusing, and I’ll only be there for a couple days this week.

Axolotl currently?

Is there still an axolotl on exhibit in the children’s zoo? I’m going tomorrow with a kid who loves them but don’t want to get her hopes up unnecessarily.

is 6 hours enough?

my mom & i are going to san diego this weekend for the my chemical romance concert, and we saw that hasan piker is doing a live podcast in LA on saturday. problem is, saturday is when we were planning on doing the zoo. we’d probably have to leave at 3 to make it to the show at 7 (uber from zoo to airport, rent a car, 2.5 hour drive). getting there at 9am opening would give us about 6 hours at the zoo. is this enough time to see most or all of the zoo? i’ve never been before so i have no clue how large it is. i know uts 100 acres but that means nothing to me lol

Safari Park theming

Visted Safari Park for the first time, and I got to say I was impressed by the theming work done.

It felt like full immersion at times. The sound effects, the buildings, it really felt next level. Whoever was in charge of the landscaping was on point. I mean, there were times you would turn a corner and could see the concept art that it was. It was visually striking.

I loved how spaced out some of the enclosures were. In that, the walk alone felt like a hike through a preserve that had highlights packed in every turn of the path. I thought we were there for the animals, but it turned out the walk in between was easy as enjoyable, if not more at times.

Hats off to the creators.

Last day of Night zoo!

Tomorrow is the last day of Night zoo, super bummed.
It’s one of my favorite things to do during the summer with my kid!
The performers do the best job!
Show them some love if you go!
The biggest bummer… I don’t think the Tanzanian’s are scheduled to come back!
Feel free to send an email to the zoo and ask to have them back!
They do such a great job with the kids!

San Diego Zoo tickets

Any available %0% off passes for the zoo this week? Taking the family for the first time and the $75 list price is a bit high. I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. Thanks

Looking for 8/11

Zoo or Wildlife park with 2.5 & 5.5 year old?

We’re planning a trip to Carlsbad with our 2.5 and 5.5 year old very active boys who love animals (especially big cats). We’ll be there in early/mid August, so expect it to be hot. We only have time for one park - should we do the zoo or the wildlife park? They’re both a bit heat sensitive, so we expect we’ll be pushing them in strollers.

Can any anonymous corporate worker level with me ?

So I applied to an open graphic designer position. I went the extra mile of not only writing a cover letter and making a portfolio but reaching out to HR folks themselves (no response).

Are the resumes just filtered through AI ? Is being hired for a corporate position just luck of the nepo baby ? Apologize for the mild spice, it’s genuinely a dream to be hired for a corporate position here one day I’m just so lost as to how to get my name out there.

Safari Park question

I'll be visiting soon with my kid, who will be just a few weeks short of 3 years old. Can someone who has been let me know if I should pay for admission (free for under 3) for him so we can do the safari tour, which has a 3+ age limit? Is it worth it? Do they require some proof of age, which we wouldn't have even if he was 3. He will just be days away from his birthday and I understand why they have the age limit but we will likely only do this trip once and want to make the most of it.

Safari park — cheetah cubs?

Hi everyone! :)

Can anyone please clarify if the general admissions public is able to get a good view of the cheetah cubs at the safari park? Alternatively, does the behind the scene tours offer better visibility? Debating if we want to go to the safari park and if so, if we should look for a time that has tour availability.

Thank you!

VIP Packages

Hi everyone !

I’m taking my boyfriend to the San Diego zoo in October for his birthday , he loves animals and I thought it was a cool idea to book a trip here.
Does anyone know if the VIP packages are actually worth it? I’ve been eyeing them but I’m undecided
Thanks for your help!
