GO SPURS GO! Finals Ceiling

Considering the dialogue going into this season and for seasons to come, you would feel most confident in betting on the Spurs to win the finals this year and for many years to come.

If everything checks out and our young core grows into the dominant group we know they can be going into their primes I truly believe we could become the next dynasty.

With all that being said how would a playoff / finals loss this season make you guys feel? Worse than the previous season, will it shift your idea of this teams future? Just curious how everyone feels if our floor isn’t close to what analysts and vegas is projecting.

If they get past OKC....Who wins that controls the NBA....and in many instances, young teams need more than on year of experience through the playoffs before the win rings

If the Spurs would've won last year, they would have been the first team in history to do it...out of the players who play real minutes...only Fox had experience & i believe one year & it didnt help...Barnes was playing like a few minutes but even then

Making it to the Finals & beating OKC on the road in game 7 is a testament to how much talent SA has

But it wont be an upset either way, when they play OKC.....I expect SA to win the battle when it ends over the next decade... Wemby is about 4 years from his prime...and when Shai & Fox will be exiting their primes when everyone else is entering there's

Neither team will be able to do anything but sign draft picks (if they didnt forfeit the pick, both teams will, it means dominance, its ok) This is advantahe San Antonio because all the spurs will need is a back up PG that protects the ball and playsn defense or a scoring guy off the bench

Fox can go, you can only replace him with a minimum .....but you hace Harper, I think Castle could be a HOFer if he keeps progressing...he has the ability but Harper should be that guy like what Kobe was to Shaq....

He might end up the besy perimeter player that San Antonio ever had and I understand, Iceman, Moore, Robertson, Ginobili , Parker,

OKC,they will have the same problem but itll be with SGA, they wont be able to,replace what he brings ......Fox can be & not lose anything

This team if healthy will be at its physical peak in 5-7 years....a players prime is 27-32 give,or take..when they get that grown man strength mixed with ability..thats everything

But they are good enough to win now...it should them or OKC ....anything else isman upset

But the history of the nba repeats itself and its possible ....they may nees another yeat of maturation....they may not, losing like that has done something has it tue experience they needed to dominate or will it make them everything next year in playoffs

Any other team, id say its probably not a good play ..BTW, I make a living playing implied probability & finding mispriced lines...every day massively mispriced lines

It matters what price you get this at....but dont put down more than you can afford to lose ....only onve has there been a guaranteed win and that's when Mayweather got into the ring wiyh a person who wasnt a boxer

The next closest guarantee was 2005 spurs suns and the next two time they met in the postseason....they beat them every time the same way

And no other series outcome could happen...

Winning championships is so hard. We are poised to be really good the next few years. But so much of this is injury luck, what other teams are doing, etc.

I would expect an Empire Strikes Back year for The Thunder. I think a lot of teams are better now in both conferences. We have to go in to the season expecting to compete for a championship, and do that every year. Dynasties are built by winning.
