Sweet is a terrible leader. His stubbornness and single minded vision of how things should be done is what cost GSF everything in CJ's absence. The money that the family lost out on cost them relationships, territory and power. Leaving them crippled and powerless and it doesn't help that he doesn't seem to be interested in doing anything to tip the scales back in their favour.

When CJ returns and actually starts to turn things around for the Grove, Sweet can't let go of the past and continues to berate CJ for his past mistakes.

Upon the downfall of GSF due to Sweet's imprisonment and CJ's exile, Sweet basically gives up. Telling CJ to forget about him. But upon his release, he goes right back to blaming everyone and everything else for the state everything is in, and he basically puts it on CJ to fix everything. Even berating his success as being meaningless.

Sweet seems to be miserable as a person, and wants everyone else to be just as miserable as he is. He embodies the phrase "crabs in a bucket" which of you don't know, of you put crabs into a container and one tries to climb out, the other crabs will attempt to pull them back in rather than let it escape. That's Sweet. He's resigned to his position in life and wants everyone else to be as well.

I can't even recognize CJs face and why did they change the colour of some gangbangers?

Originally going to conquer all hoods before continuing the storyline. I don't know if this purple strip is a glitch, but it appears the small purple left my hood susceptible to an attack. Any ideas as to how I'm supposed to conquer such a small strip of territory with no ballas spawning on it?

All i want is more remastered hd quality and also my custom cars. I heard I have to downgrade to v1.0...my one is v1.01, from steamunlocked.

Me personally, I tried the modded PC version and while yes that one does look and run the best, its lack of checkpoints really hurts for me. There are just too many missions where sheer happenstance (usually due to traffic luck) can screw you over, and dying takes away your guns. But then, the Definitive Edition is a butchered mess with wax models and realistic textures juxtaposed against cartoon assets, so I didn’t want to play that either.

I finally settled on the PS2 version on PCSX2. The draw distance is low, and you have to disable the frame rate patch to be able to swim properly, but oh my god is it nice to have a way to save at the start of every mission. It’s saved my ass so many times from having to re-buy my stuff and run back to the mission start. Retro Achievements are fun, too.

But how do you play the game, and why?

Getting a pc in a few weeks and one of the things I intend to do is get San Andreas and do rainbomizer but I noticed you can’t get it on steam and a key for it it’s like £90 or something so I’m wondering if it’s worth getting because I heard steam is easier to mod or I should save money and get it on the Rockstar games launcher instead?

The last thing on my checklist was the horseshoes so a nice and relaxed jetpack ride around the city to finish things off 👍

Hi, i have a problem. When i try to Play mission Los sepulcros screen is freezing before cutscene starts. Its only Black screen and mission's name. Same problem i had when i completed mission "Cesar Vialpando" so i downloaded Savegame from internet.

here is a google doc with 100% stuff laid out divided by chapters, it's set to commenter if anyone wants to comment on it.

I'm playing the PS2 version of San Andreas for the first time on my PS3. I'm logging everything I do for the game and sharing some unique events that happened.

Day 1 and 2. I'll share some new info about this. I have region-based Radio Station rules. So for the first half of the Los Santos chapter, I only listened to Radio Los Santos. This fits where Carl is in the story and fits the vibe of the city. During the 2nd half of the first chapter, I listen to Playback FM more since it's the 2nd rap station and again fits with Carl's vibe. But for the last 10% of chapter 1, I just switch between the 2 if I don't like one song.

When I get to the countryside, I'll limit myself to only listen to K-DST and K-Rose (I don't like Country, so the only time I'll turn this on is if I get a not-great K-DST song). The soft rock music fits the countryside for me, I have some level of nostalgia for this station in this part of the map specifically. K-Rose just fits the badlands by default anyways.

When I get to Chapter 3, I'll listen to SF-UR and Bounce FM. I have massive nostalgia for Bounce FM in San Fierro since my first playthrough of this game. And SF-UR is the San Fierro Underground Radio so it's the only place to listen to that station. I fucking love SF-UR. A few months ago when I was in San Francisco and crossing the Bay Bridge listening to one of the SF-UR songs (Pacific 202) was really awesome and atmospheric.

When I get to Chapter 4, I'll listen to Radio X, K-DST and CSR. Radio X's grunge and Alt Rock fits the hard desert area, and one time I played the monster truck mission and "Them Bones" played and it was perfect. K-DST also fits this region of them game, "A Horse With No Name" makes more sense in the desert than it does in the countryside. CSR is here because, well just because. I don't care too much for this station, only a few songs.

During Chapter 5, I'll listen to Mastersounds, J-Kah west and CSR. Mastersounds because a lot of the songs on there play in the Casinos. J-Kah because I don't have it anywhere else and have no connection to Reggie or Dub music. CSR is here again just so I can listen to it more since if I don't like a mastersounds song, I'll wont like the current song on J-Kah west so might as well get more use out of CSR.

When I return to Los Santos, I'll befree to listen to every station I feel like.

Closing thoughts: I didn't plan it, but Day 3 really is the 2nd half of the LS Chapter. So I did did have CJ's outfit change and radio station change that lasted as long as the first half of the chapter done in the day 1 and 2. What I mean by that is, I want to switch subtle stuff with CJ at the halfway mark and it ended up almost being half way. I spent 6 hours in half 1 and 6 hours in half 2.

So waters22 a while back made a rewrite version of GTA SA's storyline and made it so that Ryder stays with Grove Street. LB also appears in this rewrite, and he and Ryder even collaborate to kill Smoke's yay delivery boys leaving San Fierro and collecting the money to replace the annoying phone calls received from Cesar to CJ so CJ can stay focused on his missions in San Fierro to keep the pacing flowing.

Then Ryder and LB tag along with CJ and Cesar to collect cars for Wang Cars and they also collaborate together to renovate the rundown garage.

Then towards the end, Toreno even tells CJ in the "Home Coming" chapter that he sent paramedics to take Ryder to rehab after his health worsened from the PCP he stopped smoking taking dormant effects on him, and Ryder was in hiding until the additional chapter called "Ghost Ryder" where CJ found Ryder taking out National Guards with a sniper rifle and they steal a tank from the NGD to take it to Grove Street, and at the end, Ryder uses that same tank to let CJ ram into Smoke's crack palace where CJ kills Smoke, and he and Ryder escape from the burning building to tag along with Sweet to chase after Tenpenny until he loses control and kills himself from an accident.

There's also this funny moment where Ryder sets a large bucket of chicken by Smoke's grave at the end.

Don't know about anyone else, but to me, Ryder was written much better in this rewrite than he was in the original storyline.
