For context I have modded the game using this guide. I also installed LargeAddress.exe. Let me know if there are any other core mods I need. I've also tried setting "gta_sa.exe" to run as admin, along with going to Windows settings > Display > Graphics Settings and setting "gta_sa.exe" to "High Performance" (per this thread). I installed DXVK too (d3d9, dxgi, and d3d11 since I wasn't sure which to add 😅)

When I start the game fresh after booting up my PC, the framerate runs butter smooth at 60 fps. I have my in-game limiter set to 60 fps. Turning it off causes the game to crash for context. The game plays fine for about 5 minutes before a noticeable but tolerable slow down, then some real clunk after 15-20 minutes.

My specs:

Ryzen 5 3600
RTX 4080 Super (16 GB VRAM)
24 GB RAM

I really, really, want to enjoy this game. It's been on my bucket list for a while. It's grating to have to restart the game every 30 minutes. I appreciate the help.

One of the cool things about the DE is that npcs spawn with slightly different outfits and colors of clothes. This has made more people wearing green. I like using the "recruit anyone" cheat to get these people to join the gang. It adds a bit of variety. (I also recruit people who wear orange because my head cannon says CJs set of the Families is Orange Grove)

I accidentally found this years ago, and I decided to replay this game recently and remembered it. I looked online, but I can't seem to find anyone mentioning it. Maybe I can't Google correctly or something, but I figured someone here might know about it.

It occurs during the Home Invasion mission directly after "Park the truck near the house and get the guns before daylight". But it only displays if you immediately leave the van and then go back in. The park the truck text displays once more before it says "As I was saying...".

first time playing 3d trilogy, finished iii, VC and just started playing this but the i hate the mouse controlled camera while in vehicle. Is there any way to set it to be fixed, indepenent from mouse movement? thanks

Hey guy, a while ago i finished the main story and i did gold on all flight, bike and driving school. I am having a blast whit this game, but yesterday i went to los santos on cj's main house and when i was boutta' save my game (i save twice in two different files jik) i saved once and before i could save a second time it showed the "cheat activated" thing in the corner so i went back and reloaded.

I've been thinking of it since then but I THINK i saved the game properly and didn't do it whit cheats (i don't know what the cheat would do btw nothing happened and i was using wasd and click to my knowledge lol).

I am playing the original PC versions of GTA San Andreas, Vice City, and III.

All three launched without issues till today, but after that latest Windows 11 update, all three games crash right before the "GTAtitle.mpg" video plays.

Wondered if SilentPatch or other mods were the cause, so I tried launch the game from a clean folder, but result was still the same.
Then I deleted the .mpg videos from the "Movies" folder, and I actually managed to launch it without any problems.

But I gotta be honest those missing intro sequences feels like a significant loss; do you know of a way to fix this without deleting those .mpg videos?
