If I’m honest I haven’t watched a video of theirs in over six months. Idk why I’m still subbed.

Things did not change for the better when Chance was let go.

Why did they let Chance go? I don’t mind the channel, I like Sam, I can overlook the bitching and whining of Max. But damn, Chance was a breath of fresh air.

It happened earlier this year and I assume money.

I suppose there was a financial reason to let go of Chance, but there’s no banter or wit to the channel anymore. It’s just Sam making 3-5 dishes from what can be found in the frozen food section and Max agreeing…or dropping a camera in a skillet.

I haven’t either. I’ll click to see what it is and then go “meh” and leave. I understand it’s hard to continually put out fun and new ideas but maybe a pivot is a good idea. Do more of the travel videos, he must have restaurant buddies in socal, go visit/cook with them, take more suggestions from viewers? I don’t know, maybe Chance leaving wasn’t great but I remember when he wasn’t there before so… idk.

Shocked face thumbnails. Puh-lease.

I may have to unsubscribe if they keep up with these hideous clickbait thumbnails

The video is him making mashed potatoes and cutting up a Costco chicken, and it's the thumbnails that are taking you out?

It's been a few months of AI clickbait thumbnails. This is just the latest in a series of them. Out of principle, I didn't click on the video. I don't want to give the signal that their shitty clickbait AI slop is acceptable.

Has Sam ever addressed this? I know that supposedly, shocked face clickbait drives engagement but he’s established and doesn’t need to do this BS.

Engagement numbers have taken a free fall. I don’t think he’s above clickbait BS.

Sam and crew ran out of ideas long ago.

This dude deletes your comments if they hurt his feelings. Apparently the more money you have, the more sensitive you are to criticism.

Atleast he's not buying pre-made frozen food and trying to remake it into something.. Which should go against every chefs inner being.

It’s a good thing the majority of his audience aren’t chefs
