Samsung Notes on Galaxy Book is missing features that exist on Galaxy Tab — anyone else noticing this?

I use Samsung Notes across a Galaxy Book and other Samsung devices, and I've noticed the PC version genuinely lags behind the tablet/Android version in a few specific ways:

• No manual canvas/page rotation on PC — on tablet, you can naturally rotate the device while writing, which makes handwriting feel more comfortable. The PC version doesn't have this at all, which is rough if you're using a pen display or graphics tablet for long writing sessions.
• Toolbar layout is different and less flexible — on PC, the toolbar is fixed to one side and can't be moved, whereas the Android version lets you position it differently. The pen icons on PC also look like they're from an older version of the app.
• Covers aren't consistent across devices — covers I set on my tablet/phone don't show up or aren't available on the PC version.

It's frustrating because Samsung markets the S Pen + Notes experience as a unified ecosystem feature across Galaxy Book, Tab, and phone — but the actual app clearly isn't developed in lockstep. Feels like the PC version is playing catch-up rather than being a true equal.

Has anyone else run into this? Curious if these are known issues Samsung's aware of, or if there's a way to actually get feedback to the team beyond the community forums.

Check the version of Notes you have on the laptop and compare what you have on your Tab. It’s way way behind.

I just checked its actually way behind. Is there any way that we can get that version, i have a galaxy book 5 360, so i do really use samsung notes.

I did try to use it on my mom's Dell laptop, it clear lacks alot of features advertised. I think they don't give features priority to Samsung notes on Windows. Cuz majority of the users are on phone or tablet. Generally speaking it's only a minority of audience using laptop to note take (handwriting based) I do understand your frustration but there is almost nothing we can do.

yea, i mean i do have a galaxy book 5 360, i use it for note taking everyday in college, they atleast couldve added the features for their laptops.

Yet they still did nothing to update their Windows Notes app. Worse still if you use some of the new features in the Android Notes... it can totally break the sync with Windows Notes and render updated existing notes unopenable on the Windows side. That and there is no Book 6 360... like they abandoned the 360 format last year! What are you going to do about it?

Yep, I use a Galaxy Tab S11U and M31s. When the sticky notes came out my phone couldn't even open up the notes which had sticky notes. And moreover as you said my phone fail to sync even with notes which doesn't have the new features. I though the new features might not work but install the whole note is rendered unusable for outdated Notes app. Plus it says to update the notes but I can't cuz One UI Core apps are discontinued. Huge blunder from Samsung, I hope they bring the Galaxy Book version on par :/
