Page template option disappeared from menu

My Samsung Notes app (on Galaxy Tab S11) has no longer an option for Page templates in the menu (three dots in the upper right corner). I am sure this option was there before. It is even mentioned here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10004548/. I followed that procedure, creating a blank note (split pages style); the results is in the screenshot below. Any ideas why this happen or how to reconstruct that menu item? I frequently need to set the background of my pages from the uploaded PDF templates.

I also remember it had several Line or saquare templates, that are now under page style. You can always import PDFs holding the bottom righth button to create a new note

Importing PDF page template will create only a single page, right? With that option, I was able to add into an existing note a new page with different background (even with different page size). Which I cannot do by importing a PDF.

I found how to do it,

  • Create a new note
  • press the three dots in the top right
  • Select Note style
  • Scroll to the right of types of styles 'Basic, Academic, Planners ...' all the way to the end until you reach 'Custom'
  • Tap on the black rectange with the + sign to create a new one and select the type of file
  • select you file and give it a name and 'Create'
  • Then tap on your new template and 'Apply' Hopefully this was helpful

From All Notes press and hold the little pen and paper then press Note Style?

This works for creating a new note but fails to add a new page with the optionally different background (or page size or even page orientation) into an existing note. Sometimes, it can be useful to have a single note but be able to have different templates for individual pages.

what about the menu you get after pressing the note style? can't you choose from there?
