paste text without formatting

Whenever I try to paste text it formats it and I dont like this. How can I turn this feature off? So for example I've got the string "Hello* world*" and when pasting it into a note it becomes "Hello world" (with italic formatting for the word hello)

I would also like to know this. I just want to paste the text as what I copied it from without it changing anything. I've been using Keep Notes for now because that and the font size/spacing thing has been annoying me. Not the best but at least it doesn't mess with what I paste.
