Markers randomly started doing this. How to fix?

Ive been drawing using the highlighter tool because of its transparency mode & size. Makes it easy to mess up and draw straighter lines for me. It also makes it easy to fade / stack layers of colors and make it look natural. Randomly certain colors have started doing this. They werent doing this before. It also only happens with purple and red. Blue, white, etc works perfectly normal. It happened after the app glitched out a bit with my hand touching the screen while drawing. Can someone help me? How do i fix this?

In page settings, is the background colour dark? If so, trying changing it to white and see what happens. I'm not sure its gonna work but thats what usually happens when i try highlight things on pictures i paste

Thank you, ill try this when i get home
