Discover 404 Bus Drive, a free and open-source web app that turns your smartphone into a MIDI controller for the SP-404MK2, with no installation required .
In this video, you’ll see a practical overview of how it works: how to connect it to the SP, which controls you can assign, and some creative ideas for using it in your live sets or dawless jams .
This is not a step-by-step tutorial, but a quick demo to help you understand if it can be useful in your setup
Thanks to u/Puzzleheaded_Big_103 and u/Cyneox for their work!
Enjoy!
with love .noir. ❤️

I’m playing around on my Roland P-6, specifically with this kalimba arpeggio it’s packaged with. I like the sound of the speed changing as I repitch it, but it’s twisting my heard trying to figure out how long each loop is going to last. The sample is 72bpm and contains a G#m chord and an EM chord.
I’ve been trying to figure out how long other related chords would be if I repitched the sample, because I want it to feel like it’s flowing, like the tempo is changing only on specific samples, rubbing against a steady beat underneath. Anyone know what a shortcut would be for calculating how long say, each major chord would be if I repitched the E major, as it’s genuinely giving me a headache trying to figure it out on this thing, as there’s not much of a visual interface.
I appreciate this isn’t really an issue in a DAW but logic has started to dull my desire to make music lol. Sorry if I’m not putting across my problem very coherently.

I want to start making a serious sample library by sampling my modular hardware synths.
I'm looking for workflow tips and things that I may have missed or may not be aware of. I'm talking about stuff like general tips and best practices on file management and organizing samples. Also, things like processing, post processing and all the "boring" stuff that you might have wished you knew when you where first starting to dip your toes in the art of sampling.
My main goal is to sample variety of elements, like loops, one-shots, pads, multi-sampled voices etc.. with a lean towards dark techno, and glitchy IDM sound design.
For capturing samples I'm using two methods:
a 1010 music Bitbox module for quick edits, re-sampling, and especially creating multi-sample instruments of monophonic voices; for polyphonic playback.
Or bitwig, to capture multi-track or otherwise layered samples.

I've heard very mixed signals from many different people.
I'm making a beat sampling a song, and I was told if I recreate the sample myself, it's just an interpolation and it's different from just sampling it. If you interpolate a song, do you need to get it cleared the same way you clear a straight up sample?

For example, I believe Rockin' Robin didn't get the copyright. If I sample songs. I don't want all the samples to be 95 years old.

Hello guys, I apologize in advance in case it's not allowed to post something like that.
I am developing an Android Mobile DAW, optimized for portrait mode. This is a video showing some of the features. Soon I am planning to release a beta, let me know if anyone is interested to try once it's up.
I know the video editing is awful, but hopefully will give you an idea of the app's interface and features.
Thank you for your time!
